5 Design Tips for an Inspiring Meeting Room
Want a meeting room that solves problems, inspires ideas, and closes deals? Here are 5 simple design tips that can help you put together a productive meeting room.
A Long Table
Make sure you choose a nice, long, spacious table that seats everyone while supporting all their laptops and coffees too. If you have standing meetings, you may want a standing table as well.
We both know meetings can go for several hours, planned or otherwise. Ensure that everybody present stays comfortable on padded chairs that are height adjustable, can easily turn and face other attendees, and offer good back support.
A television that is too small, has fewer pixels, or needs a good thwack to work is a big no-no in any office space, especially the meeting room. Invest in a large HD TV that allows the guy in the back to hear audio clearly and read slides without straining himself.
Make sure you have power plug adapters, sockets, speakers, projectors, whiteboard markers, and everything else you need to give a good presentation without interruptions or mumbled apologies.
Keep your meeting equipment available on hand without needing to rush out of the room to get them. Use storage shelves and drawers to conveniently stock and organize all those effects so that they’re ready to use when you need them.
