feast for the eyes: thanksgiving table decor for a memorable meal!

As we draw closer to Thanksgiving 2020 we’re thinking of ways to make it all kinds of special, whether you’re celebrating with immediate family at home, or having a large, socially-distanced get-together.

To make Thanksgiving dinner a meal to remember, we’re suggesting some stunning ways to decorate your table. Much to everyone’s surprise, a beautiful tablescape doesn’t have to come at a lavish budget, and can be achieved by upcycling things lying at home, or by throwing in seasonal foliage from your backyard — and of course, you can now make the most of some great Black Friday deals, which are just around the corner!

From ever-so-minimal looks to over-the-top ones, here are our favorite table decor ideas for Turkey season!

Add a cute place card to the mix

This table decor idea is low on effort and big on heart. Just wrap a bunch of cinnamon sticks with a personalized handwritten note. With the wonderfully sweet and spicy smell of cinnamon, this gentle touch is sure to delight all your senses, making it the perfect experience before you tuck into that turkey.

We’re loving these metal accent acorns to embellish your napkins with. The dried berries give it a rustic feel that’s also sophisticated. The Thanksgiving-themed place card in a handwritten font makes the look warm and welcoming, and is sure to bring a smile to your guests’ faces.

A neutrally done up Thanksgiving tablescape

We’re calling this Thanksgiving table ‘Instagram-ready’! To re-create this at home, paint pumpkins of different sizes in beige or white, and throw in some dried pampas grass, or wheat sheaves onto a glass vase, over your neutral-colored table linen. The result? A tablescape that’s elegant and easy on the eyes!

The classic fall look

If going traditional is more your thing, we suggest opting for this classic tablescape, filled with pumpkins, squash and autumn-hued foliage. You could also add touches of bright green for an easy contrast. If you’re celebrating Thanksgiving outdoors, this tablescape is going to be quite the sight for sore eyes! To go bolder with this same look, add generous touches of bright red - whether it's with cranberry sauce, table napkins or an unconventional berry pie instead of pumpkin. We think the use of red is the perfect way to foreshadow the upcoming Christmas season! Add a place card with a menu for the evening, for your guests to look forward to the delightful meal in store for them.

Add an eye-catching centerpiece

If you feel like your Thanksgiving table is missing a little something, you can always depend on a statement centerpiece to add that extra jazz. Mix faux and real flowers, with berries, wheat and pampas grass into an oversized pumpkin to create this gorgeous look. The use of bright colors with absolute abandon makes this centerpiece visually captivating!
